An intimate B & B  

in January of 2004, after vacationing in the Berkshires and having family in Otis, the Hoekstras left northern New Jersey and made Sandisfield their home.  Once their son ventured off on his own, the house seemed too large and empty and the idea of a B & B began to take shape.

 

Steve, recently retired from the transportation industry, still enjoys scenic drives through the rolling hills of the Berkshires and is now finally able to be more involved in the Inn's day to day operations.

 

Rosanne's attention to details and former floral design business laid the ground work for this Inn.  The cornerstone of this venture is to provide impeccable service as they share their hospitality, cooking and gardens with you.

 

They invite you to come stroll around the property to enjoy the amazing birdlife and colorful gardens from the wrap around porch, screened in patio, or gazebo.  Seeing a bald eagle hunt for its next meal in the Farmington River across the road or the Colebrook Reservoir (south on Route 8) is a memory you won't soon forget.
